Friends of the Church

The Friends of St. Peter and St. Paul Cranfield

“The Friends of St. Peter and St Paul Cranfield” is a registered charity, and exists solely to raise funds for the maintenance of our church fabric and improvements to facilities. The ancient walls, rooflines and floors of our medieval church, the furnishings and artefacts, are all part of its ‘fabric’.

The Friends’ committee constitutes a small group of people, who meet to plan fundraising and community events. Over the years this has been very successful and provided ‘seed money’ that has been multiplied many times over in obtaining grants.  Past Activities have included Pew Top Sales and refreshments in church, popular concerts and Village Open Garden events.

There have also been ‘Antique Roadshow Valuations’ and a Murder Mystery Evening.

Over eight hundred years ago, a band of God-loving people built our historic and beautiful church. The Friends work to honour these forebears in helping to maintain this oldest and most significant building in Cranfield.
